A 25-year-old Allentown, Pa. woman and former contestant on the television show American Idol was struck by a car and killed in Seaside Heights early Saturday morning in an apparent homicide, authorities said. Alexis Cohen was found dead at the edge of Dupont Avenue near Bay Boulevard at about 4 a.m., said Deputy Chief Michael Mohel.
